About:

Growing up in Rhode Island I spent most of my time skateboarding in the spring and fall, snowboarding in the winter, and surfing in the summer. Right around my first year of high school, after being influenced by other local surf photographers friends, I picked up a camera myself and began taking pictures of surfers and waves. This quickly changed from just surfing, to snapping pictures of everything whenever the lighting was good– which is frequently with the constant changing weather of the east coast that produces some of the most fleeting yet wonderful light.

Fresh out of High School, I moved across the country to San Diego, CA to (surf consistent waves year round) attend SDSU and study Multimedia and Photography. There I learned to combine my photography with the new skillset of graphic design and apply designs for real world projects. Prior to graduating, I interned with RipCurl over the summer and saw what my potential future working for the marketing of a surf company would be like. At RipCurl I assisted various members of the marketing department picking up as much knowledge as I could from each of them, while seeing how the graphic designer/photographer at one of the top surf brands operated.

After graduating College, I found the perfect job for myself working as the Digital Marketing Manager and Photographer for …Lost apparel. At …Lost, I get to combine my own photos into designs for the website, instagram, surf shop windows, magazines, and more, while working with veteran surf industry coworkers who supply a wealth of input. Throughout the last few years working here I continue to learn so many new things about designing, photographing, and business marketing.
